Soul Scat Slap Solo Bass


Mizz Absurd is a vocalist, musician, songwriter, poet and artist in Las Vegas, Nevada. Inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Charles Mingus and James Brown with comparisons to Lady GaGa, Amy Winehouse and Adam Ben Ezra. Her eclectic live shows are often presented cabaret style featuring burlesque dancers and stand up comedy. Her fusion of Soul-Funk-Philosophy explore emotions through experimental Jazz music, soulful lyrics and spoken word interludes self described as Soul Scat Slap Solo Bass. An Upright Bass student and Bass Tech for John Hatton from The Brian Setzer Orchestra and has performed as vocalist in, LA Funk-Punk band Fishbone Bassist, Norwood Fisher's Trulio Disgracias, with featured members from George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic. A former bandleader, she's performed her solo act all over Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York City with featured residencies at Bar One in North Hollywood, CA and Artisan Boutique Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
